Mark your calendars for the summer of ‘87!

Camp Lakewood is finally ready for its totally tubular grand opening! Yes, you read that correctly. After nearly two years of turmoil and roadblocks, the summer camp is ready to open its doors for young hearts to create memories and form lifelong bonds. Unfortunately, the slight hiccups encountered during construction mean it’ll be next season before any child steps onto the grounds. Nevertheless, the owners would like to welcome the new staff members and a few of their friends for a meet-and-greet to get to know one another and prepare for the upcoming season.

We’ve received everyone’s employment contracts and we are so very delighted that a gnarly group of staff members such as yourselves is willing to start us off with our first season. Some of you may remember Buckling Acres Camp, the old summer camp across the lake. We see that a few of you were campers there as youngsters, so you will have a good idea of what you can expect here for the upcoming summer. We are terribly sorry about the tragedy that struck poor Buckling Acres last year. Our only hope is to spread the same joy and sense of adventure that they once did.

We here at Camp Lakewood are looking forward to seeing all your smiling faces when you arrive. Future children are relying on the success of this weekend to make the next summer an unforgettable experience.

What is a Murder Mystery Party?

A murder mystery party is an interactive role-playing game where you and your guests are the center of a gripping whodunit storyline. Each player assumes the identity of a unique character, all while attempting to uncover the truth behind a heinous crime. It's like stepping into your very own murder mystery movie, where everyone plays a crucial role in solving the case!

Party Roles

This party has the capacity for a minimum of 11+ and maximum of 37 individual character roles. Expand your party with an unlimited number of detective roles. There is no script and no lines to memorize. Characters are given clue cards with talking points to direct the conversation. Each character has a backstory with secrets and questionable relationships with one another. They play an integral role in the story. As a character, you may find yourself in the role of a suspect, victim, or killer. Detective roles are available for anyone not interested in playing a character. These roles are far from mere spectators. They play an active part in the investigation, questioning suspects, gathering evidence, and unraveling clues. However, they do not have the pressure of being required to participate.
