Madam Theresa is hosting the annual Ravencrest Ball to raise funds for Shadows of Hope, an organization that creates a safe haven for stray cats and dogs. It will be hosted at the historic Ravencrest Manor in the town of Kassel Grove. The guest list is quite remarkable as a select group of affluent individuals has been invited due to various connections, charitable contributions, or perhaps a mere coincidence. Everyone is preparing for the high-profile event, hunting down the perfect attire and matching mask for a glamorous night of anonymity and a game of who’s who. Behind the concealment of disguises, guests are free to relax their inhibitions and live a life of debauchery, even if only for this one evening. There is no worry that the press will get ahold of the antics of the evening, as everyone’s identity will be concealed. Of course, something goes awry and the evening of glitz and glamour quickly turns sinister. A gruesome murder unexpectedly interrupts everyone’s evening of lighthearted fun and now it is up to you to determine whodunnit before it’s too late...

CHARACTERS:

• Immersed fully in the plot

• Given backstory and secrets that is up to you how and when to reveal

• Might be the victim and may be the killer (you won’t know until after you arrive)

• Required to interact with the other guests

• Your story unfolds through the guidance of clue cards distributed throughout the evening

• Assignment tailored to you based on your responses to the questionnaire form and your comfortability

DETECTIVES:

• Interact with the others at your discretion, or choose not to all together

• No pressure of being the killer or falling victim to the killer

• No backstory or secrets to remember or share

• Given new materials for each round with clue cards along with the characters

• Have the same opportunities at all the prizes

After purchasing tickets, you will receive a link to your email. Forward this to everyone in your party and make sure everyone fills it out.

Fill out the form.
Fill out the form attached to the link so that we can pair you with the best character based on your preferences for the evening. If you chose detective, still fill out the form so that we have access to communicate any updates leading up to the event.

Receive your character assignments.
One week prior to the event, you will receive your character assignment via the email you provided in the form. Your backstory and all the necessary event details will be included.

Dress the part.
Whether you are playing a character or detective, have fun with the costume and dress in your most lavish attire. Don’t forget your masks! This is a masquerade after all. Costumes and masks are not required, but highly encouraged (prizes are at stake).

Make dinner reservations.
If you want to experience The Pines in its fullest, prepare for a decadent dinner to start off your evening. Then make your way downstairs to The Understory where the real mayhem begins.
