OLD MAN LAKEWOOD DEAD AT HIS FISHING CAMP — WAKE TO BE HELD
It is our sad duty to report that Cornelius Lakewood, known to three counties and at least two federal agents as Old Man Lakewood, has died peacefully in his sleep. This comes as something of a surprise to those who knew him best, as the Old Man was never one to do anything quietly.
He leaves behind a large family, several folks who claim to be family, and a fishing camp that has turned a handsome profit every year since Prohibition began, though no one can recall the last time a fish was caught there. His business affairs, we are told, remain in excellent disorder.
A wake will be held at the camp. Due to the current law of the land, the family assures that only coffee and lemonade will be served. Those of you who were expecting to settle up with the Old Man are urged to come as well. You are owed, and we would dearly like to see you paid.
Guests are advised to bring their best manners and their sharpest wits. The Old Man spent many years keeping the peace among people who would sooner shake hands with the devil than with one another. With his passing, certain arrangements may require reconsideration and certain folks may find that some things are best left buried.
So come pay your respects, take a glass of lemonade, and make yourselves comfortable. There is much to be settled, and we expect the business of laying the Old Man to rest will take a little longer than the family anticipated.
Here’s the Deal
Play a Part, or Play Detective
Take a character with secrets of their own, or come as a detective and crack the case without the spotlight.
Hunt the Clues

Sleep at the Scene
Your own private cabin at the very camp where the story takes place. No strangers, ever.
